Zoltan Ferencz, 27, of the Republic of Slovakia, was arrested after he traveled to Peachtree City, Georgia to meet with an undercover officer whom he thought was a 14-year-old girl. He thought he was meeting the teenager to engage in a sexual act, police said.
The Peachtree City investigation was conducted with help from the Douglasville Police Department and the Georgia Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce, police said.
Police said Ferencz is charged with one count of violation of the computer pornography and child exploitation act of 1999.
At the time of his arrest, he was working as a waiter on a Princess Cruise Lines cruise ship where he has worked for the past five years, police said.
Zoltan was convicted on April 22, 2008 and was released on September 9, 2008. He is currently registered on the Georgia Sex Offenders web site.
